Domino’s Pizza announced December 20 it will soon accept credit cards at all of its 654 corporate locations and has selected Paymentech, an electronic payment processor for restaurants, to launch the exclusive credit card acceptance program for the recognized world leader in pizza delivery.
“More and more, consumers want cashless payment options. We will increase the convenience and speed of pizza delivery with this quick and easy option,” said Cheryl Bachelder, Domino’s executive vice president of marketing. “We selected Paymentech for their unique expertise in card-not-present POS authorization, franchise marketing experience, and full range of specialized services for restaurants.”
Paymentech will authorize and settle credit card transactions for all company-owned Domino’s stores. Paymentech is already processing credit card purchases at 166 corporate and 500 franchised locations. Paymentech, the nation’s second largest bankcard transaction processor, will also promote its program to the more than 3,900 Domino’s franchised locations throughout the country. Rollouts to franchisees will start early next year. Specialized point-of-sale (POs) applications for Domino’s include POs system integration and Internet reporting for credit card transactions and settlement activity.
In recent weeks, Paymentech has expanded restaurant offerings on a number of fronts. The company recently announced certification of VeriFone’s Omni 3200 payment terminal with the SoftPay 2.6 software. Paymentech’s application supports one of the most comprehensive menus for SoftPay with credit, debit, EBT and check options. Paymentech also incorporated Fast Pay capability with the SoftPay solution to meet the needs of quick service restaurants.
