Shane’s Rib Shack’s founder and president, Shane Thompson, is scheduled to appear on QVC during its new gluten-free culinary broadcast Eating Gluten Free – Food & Cookbooks on March 23 at 4 p.m. EDT. Gluten-free hickory-smoked ribs made from Shane’s original recipe will be offered nationwide through QVC and QVC.com for approximately $67. The package (QVC Item No. M25172) includes four 1-pound slabs of precooked ribs, a full-size bottle of Shane’s Original gluten-free BBQ sauce, and three make-at-home sauce recipes taken from “The Shane Family Grill Book.”

Shane’s Rib Shack offers a comprehensive gluten-free menu, including Shane’s Original BBQ sauce, at its 66 restaurants. Shane’s extensive gluten-free menu includes hand-chopped pork and BBQ chicken, half & whole chicken, slow-smoked ribs, grilled chicken tenders, grilled chicken salad, baked beans, cole slaw, collard greens, corn on the cob, and green beans.

“We opened the Original Shane’s Rib Shack in 2002, in McDonough, Georgia. As the company grew, we recognized that consumer’s eating habits were also evolving, including awareness surrounding celiac disease and gluten-free product offerings,” Thompson says. “Our ability to offer a gluten-free menu that includes garden fresh salads, flame-grilled chicken tenders, and traditional BBQ pork and chicken, enables us to appeal to a broader audience and makes choosing where to eat a little less challenging for families afflicted with celiac disease.”

Thompson says Shane’s Rib Shack will never veer from its traditional roots, which will always include signature slow-smoked ribs, hand-chopped pork, and a variety of southern sides. However, the company offers its customers additional options with its extensive gluten-free menu.
