National Apple Pie Day is Friday, May 13, and Dunkin' Donuts is making it easy as pie to celebrate this national food holiday. America's all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods is offering brand followers of @DunkinDonuts on Twitter the chance to win a $50 Dunkin' Donuts Card by guessing what kind of apples Dunkin' Donuts uses in its Warm Apple Pie, now available at participating restaurants nationwide. Anyone who offers a correct guess, using hashtag #ApplePieDDay, is eligible to win.

Dunkin' Donuts serves Warm Apple Pie as part of the brand's new "Hearty Snacks" menu. The perfect complement to a Dunkin' Donuts coffee or latte, Dunkin' Donuts' Warm Apple Pie is a flaky, handheld pie baked with real apples and topped with cinnamon sugar. Warm Apple Pie is available at a suggested retail price of $1.29.

In addition to Warm Apple Pie, the new line of "Hearty Snacks" includes Stuffed Breadsticks available in two varieties, Cheeseburger and Pepperoni & Cheese, and Bagel Twists, available in savory Cheddar Cheese and sweet Cinnamon Raisin flavors.

Dunkin' Donuts has partnered with its sister brand Baskin-Robbins, the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, to offer a "cool" way to celebrate National Apple Pie Day. At more than 1,100 Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination restaurants throughout the country, guests can enjoy Apple Pie a la Mode that pairs Dunkin' Donuts' Warm Apple Pie with 2.5 ounces of Baskin-Robbins vanilla soft-serve ice cream topped with a drizzle of Caramel Praline. Apple Pie a la Mode is available at a suggested retail price of $2.29.

"We're happy to help our guests celebrate National Apple Pie Day and honor one of our country's classic treats," says Dunkin' Brands' executive chef Stan Frankenthaler. "With a significant portion of consumers snacking more frequently in recent years, we've added Warm Apple Pie to our menu to help busy, on-the-go people satisfy their cravings with this all-American favorite snack, served fast and fresh any time of day."

"The first American apple orchard was planted in Boston in 1625, and through the 19th and early 20th centuries, apple pie has become a beloved American dessert and symbol of our country," says Allison Parker, director of consumer health and education at the U.S. Apple Association. "We are thrilled Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating National Apple Pie Day with us this year."
