Today, the newest Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is churning out fresh custard treats and made-to-order steakburgers at a heated pace. The latest opening for the fast-growing chain of restaurants is adding steam to the recent Technomic report that ranks Freddy’s as the fifth fastest-growing burger concept in the country. With 31.9 percent sales growth since 2009, Freddy’s future is bright and exponential expansion is on the horizon. “We love the Freddy’s family and are so glad to be a part of it,” says Gilbert’s operating partner Craig Newman. “We have been planning and training for well over a year. What you see today is the result of a well-coordinated plan by a group of people who are ready to take this concept to the next level.” Freddy’s is on the cusp of dramatic growth and is poised to launch in many new communities before the year is out. As the Freddy’s family plans for the future, the path is considered carefully and the focus is steady on premium products and an atmosphere that invites loved ones to enjoy a meal together. “Nothing makes me happier than to go into Freddy’s and watch the guests enjoying their food,” says COO Scott Redler. “I love to see the families celebrating birthdays, senior couples enjoying a custard sundae together, or a table full of teenagers in letter jackets talking about their day over a basket of fries. I just have to take it all in and recognize the blessing that Freddy’s has been to me and the communities that welcome us. It is a special place and we take that honor quite seriously.”
