This winter, the state’s first Mooyah will give residents something to sink their teeth into.

The award-winning better burger brand is “moo-ving” into Jefferson and Shelby counties, with more restaurants on the way soon after.

Mooyah, while known for fast casual, friendly service, is famous for its high quality burgers, daily baked fresh buns, hand-cut fries, and hand-crafted milkshakes.

Denney Barrow, with sons Josh Barrow and Jordan Barrow, all Birmingham natives and the newest Mooyah franchisees, plan to open 10 to 12 restaurants in Jefferson, Shelby, Tuscaloosa, Madison, and Montgomery counties.

While these restaurants mark Alabama’s firsts, the burger brand has seen exponential growth nationally.

Mooyah’s food is one-of-a-kind, and we know the community is going to love it,” Barrow says. It’s high quality, fresh food that is fun for young adults, working men, and families. Anyone can walk into their neighborhood Mooyah and get their burger made to order, their way and served with the perfect sides: fresh French fries and hand-crafted milkshakes.”

When deciding to make the newest restaurant a family venture, Barrow explains, “Mooyah is a perfect fit with who we are and what we were looking for. We love the product, we love the atmosphere, and our ideals of family businesses match with theirs.”

In addition to ten new locations in Alabama, Mooyah is also opening restaurants in Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C.
