Culver’s first “Welcome to Delicious” TV spot of the year, “Hand-Battered Perfection,” is now airing and highlights Culver’s premium North Atlantic Cod.

“We serve the cod loin – the biggest, flakiest part of the fish – the filet mignon of the cod, caught in the icy waters north of the Arctic Circle,” says Craig Culver, co-founder and CEO of Culver’s.

“Great tasting fish has been a cornerstone of our menu since our first restaurant opened in Sauk City, Wisconsin in 1984.”

As in the previous “Welcome to Delicious” TV commercials, Craig is paired with a supplier partner. This time he joins a fifth-generation fish exporter to demonstrate the delicate process of hand battering, breading and dressing the North Atlantic Cod Filet for each sandwich.

A continuation of Culver’s authentic “Welcome to Delicious” campaign, the new TV spot highlights Culver’s commitment to quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation.

When a guest orders a fish sandwich or dinner, the fish is prepared at that time. It’s hand-battered and breaded only after it’s ordered,” Craig adds.

“Preparing each fish to order ensures the highest quality taste experience for our guests. I wouldn’t think of doing it any other way.”

Another guest favorite, Northwoods Walleye, joins North Atlantic Cod starting this week, just in time for Lent. Culver’s tender and crispy Northwoods Walleye is available for a limited time only to ensure sourcing is sustainable, responsible and safe.

Northwoods Walleye and North Atlantic Cod are available as Dinners with the choice of two sides, such as Culver’s Cole Slaw and Crinkle Cut Fries, along with a warm dinner roll and family-recipe tartar sauce. Both are also available as sandwich Value Baskets with a side and a beverage.

To celebrate the Lent delicacies, Culver’s is giving Facebook fans the chance to win savings through an interactive fishing game starting March 5.

Culver’s is an expanding franchise system with more than 445 independently owned and operated restaurants in 19 states.
