Rod Silva, founder of Muscle Maker Grill, a chain of fast-casual eateries that serves “great food with your health in mind,” announces plans to grow the franchise system from 50 units to 100 units. The projected growth is attributed to an increasing number of current franchisees purchasing additional restaurants, and the chain’s efforts to expand into new markets throughout the country.

“I am proud to report our steady growth and aggressive expansion plans,” Silva says. “Our unparalleled corporate support coupled with the opportunity for growth has motivated many of our franchisees to open more locations. Franchisees have experienced success in the current economic climate and are purchasing additional restaurants because we provide great-tasting healthy food, a concept that is being embraced by consumers nationwide.”

National Growth

Muscle Maker Grill is experiencing growth throughout the country. In partnership with a Pennsylvania developer group that has purchased 40 Muscle Maker Grill restaurants, the owner of the Cherry Hill location recently opened the first Muscle Maker Grill in Philadelphia. Centrally located on Grant Avenue, the new restaurant is breaking all previous franchise sales records.

In addition, Muscle Maker Grill recently signed a deal with The Sanctum Group, Inc., to develop 10 restaurants in Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

Restaurants are also located in California, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Proven Recipe of Success

Tom Trilivas, owner of the Lyndhurst and Nutley, New  Jersey, restaurants, just purchased his third unit in Montclair, New Jersey.

Theresa Wolf and John Lyons, owners of the highly successful Oakland, New Jersey, location, just bought their second unit in Mahwah, New Jersey.

John Marques, owner of 12 Muscle Maker Grill locations in New Jersey, is a prime example of a Muscle Maker Grill franchisee that has increased his earning potential by purchasing multiple restaurants. He is currently remodeling two previous Energy Grille locations in Freehold and Middletown, New Jersey, into Muscle Maker Grill restaurants, and expects to open them later this month. He also will open a second unit next month in Newark, New Jersey.

“We plan to continue to expand across the country, bringing nutritious, quick-service options to people nationwide,” Silva says. “We are looking for motivated multi-unit operators to join our team and bring Muscle Maker Grill to their own communities.”

Over the next few months, Muscle Maker Grill will also begin serving healthy options in seven more New Jersey communities (Newark, Hoboken, East Brunswick, Fair Lawn, Ridgewood, Rivervale, and Marlton); five additional New York locations (White Plains, (two) Staten Island, Albany, and Newburg); Easton, Pennsylvania; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
