Krispy Kreme is taking customers’ taste buds on a trip to the county fair with four new blue ribbon doughnuts and beverages.
The new Caramel Apple Cake Doughnut and Cotton Candy Doughnut will be available August 20–September 30 at participating Krispy Kreme U.S. and Canada locations. Caramel Apple Cake Doughnuts will also be sold individually in participating grocery and convenience stores.
The Caramel Apple Cake Doughnut is a glazed, apple-flavored traditional cake doughnut, topped with a smooth caramel icing. The Cotton Candy Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in blue cotton candy sugar.
The brand is pairing these menu items with two new beverage offerings: the Frozen Cotton Candy Chiller or the Caramel Latte.
The Cotton Candy Chiller is a version of the fresh-spun classic treat with a hint of raspberry and blueberry flavors. The Caramel Latte is topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle and served on ice or hot.
“County fairs are a fall tradition, and caramel apple and cotton candy are always popular fair fare,” says Ron Rupocinski, Krispy Kreme corporate chef. “The caramel apple cake doughnut is rich and decadent, and the new cotton candy doughnut is a sweet and fluffy delight.”
