Trinity Building + Construction Management Corp., a Massachusetts-based general contracting and construction management firm, announces that it completed renovation construction of Au Bon Pain in Hynes Convention Center, located at 800 Boylston Street in Boston. The Trinity team completed the 2,600 square foot full interior renovation following seven weeks of construction.

The renovation includes: new walls and a ceiling; casework; tile finishes throughout; upgraded kitchen equipment, walk-in cooler; and mechanical systems. An additional window overlooking the back bakery area was included during the renovation, so that customers can now see their food items being prepared.

“I want to thank Trinity’s Project Manager, Joe Crowley and Superintendent Robert Michaud for one of the best experiences I had working with a general contractor in the past four years with Au Bon Pain. They both did a great job keeping the project running and the quality was excellent, the communication was seamless, and the change orders were right in line,” says Au Bon Pain’s Construction Manager, Rod Murphy.

The gut renovation was conducted in an occupied space and in an effort to keep construction noise at a minimum, equipment was brought into the restaurant after hours through the adjoining Prudential Center mall. The project also posed challenges in that the walk-in cooler was installed when a majority of the restaurant’s finishes were complete and the team was forced to work quickly in a tight space to successfully meet their deadline.

Au Bon Pain is located next to LOFT and Tossed, near the entrance to the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
