Taquerias Arandas is bringing the authentic flavors of Mexico to Katy and North Houston, with the opening of the franchise’s newest restaurants. The Katy restaurant is located at 223 S. Mason Road and the North Houston restaurant is located at 10739 North Freeway. Both are now open are two of more then 25 locations.

The new locations will bring the famous Taquerias Arandas favorites, including enchiladas, tortas and, of course, their best selling tacos. (Taquerias Arandas sells more than 5,000,000 tacos a year.) Known for its fresh ingredients and 100 percent corn tortillas, this family-friendly, casual restaurant features a full-service bar and is open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant serves breakfast all day, offers an affordable kids’ menu, and features a full bar.

“The area west of Houston is growing rapidly, and we wanted to make sure that Taqueria Arandas was a part of it,” says Judy Camarena, CEO and president of Arandas Franchises. “Houston is growing and so is our business,” says Camarena “This [North Houston location] marks our 27th restaurant location.”

Although it’s a part of a franchise, each taqueria location reflects the personality of the surrounding neighborhood. The new Katy restaurant is located in a family-oriented neighborhood and is the perfect place to treat the kids to tacos. The North Freeway location is a great place to grab a quick lunch or drinks and tacos after work. Taquerias Arandas, which began as a family business more than 30 years ago, plays an integral part in the community around each location. The restaurants are known for hosting community, school, and charity events.

“Entering new markets is an integral part of moving forward as a company,” Camarena says. “We’re thrilled to be doing exactly that with the opening of this [Katy] location.”
