CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That’s Hot, the beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, will celebrate the grand opening of the New Brunswick CUPS onSaturday, June 15, at 1 Penn Plaza in New Brunswick, New Jersey. CUPS will be offering free frozen yogurt from 4 – 7 pm at the New Brunswick location.
The New Brunswick location is the first CUPS franchise to offer a full Café, featuring coffee, espresso drinks, juices, bottled drinks, tea and chai, smoothies, shakes, and hot chocolate. In addition, CUPS New Brunswick has a wide selection of food items including daily fruit salads, parfaits, bagels, pastries and baked goods, breakfast platters, and ‘Grab and Go’ sandwiches.
The New Brunswick CUPS franchise is owned and operated by Mayur Suchdev and Ankit Patel, both graduates of Rutgers University.
During the grand opening week beginning June 15, each New Brunswick customer will be given a “scratch off” card, which contains prizes such as wristbands, beach balls, water bottles, beach towels, and CUPS coupons. One lucky winner will receive free fro-yo for a year.
Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey, in 2010, CUPS has taken the Tri-State area by storm, becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.
“It’s more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans and eclectic murals; and Cast Members with infectiously fun personalities,” says Rick Barbrick, co-founder of CUPS. “It’s the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience.”
CUPS has 13 locations in New Jersey and New York. Since the beginning of 2012, CUPS has signed more than 10 new area development agreements representing 25 franchise units in New Jersey, New York, and Florida.
The New Brunswick CUPS is open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday throughWednesday and from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
