Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a fast casual restaurant concept serving Mediterranean food, opens on Concourse D at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Owned and operated by Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, an airport food service and retail company, the Atlanta airport restaurant is the nation’s first airport-based Garbanzo.

As part of its preferred partnership agreement with Garbanzo, this is the first of numerous restaurants Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services plans to open. The new restaurant is the Mediterranean concept’s 25th location and the seventh franchise store to open to date.

“Opening in the world’s busiest airport provides an excellent opportunity for further exposure to domestic and international guests who may not have a Garbanzo in their hometown or city,” says Bob Bafundo, Garbanzo vice president of company and franchise operations. “Delaware North Companies’ portfolio of successes speaks for itself, and we are very pleased to be working in conjunction with them to create more Garbanzo enthusiasts throughout the world.”

“Garbanzo will provide a fresh and unique dining option to airport travelers who do not currently have a wide variety of healthy restaurant choices,” says Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president, and CEO. “We also look forward to the enhanced exposure an international airport location offers and the fan base it will help create in future markets.”

Along with the usual Garbanzo menu, the airport location will provide grab-and-go items such as a cold chicken laffa, Greek salad, and hummus snack tray. The Hartsfield-Jackson International Garbanzo will also be the concept’s first location to use electronic menuboards.
