As the growth of the fast-casual Asian segment continues to gain popularity throughout the country, Mama Fu’s is feeding consumer demand for Asian cuisine with its expansion into the Midwest, opening the first Mama Fu’s location in Ohio on December 13.

With 16 locations throughout Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas, Mama Fu’s is opening the first of two Ohio locations this month.

Local husband and wife entrepreneurs, Mark and Lisa Shaw, will open the doors to the new Mama Fu’s Asian House at the Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, neighboring the new Regal Cinema.

“We look forward to introducing a concept to the Midwest that has been so popular in other regions of the country,” Mark says. “Offering consumers freshly prepared Asian cuisine with a unique service model that includes a fast-casual approach to lunch and table service for dinner, we’re confident Mama Fu’s will be well-received by the diverse and busy schedules of the local consumers here in Cleveland.”

Mama Fu’s Asian House located at the Great Northern Mall offers guests convenience, value, and unique flavors with its Asian-inspired food, including the MenuMasters award-winning Banh Mi sandwich. With a contemporary and user-friendly menu that allows guests to navigate their options more easily, guests can choose between a rice dish or noodle bowl, as well as their protein of choice, from a selection of Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean menu options.

More health-conscious guests can order a Steam Bowl or salad, or have their protein steamed, a cooking method that reduces oils and starch. For a more exclusive look at menu options and perks, Mama Fu’s offers a popular rewards program to customers, known as the “Funatics Club,” which offers exclusive deals to club members.

“As we continue to expand the brand into new regions of the country, we’re excited to have Mark and Lisa introducing us to the Midwest,” says Randy Murphy, president and CEO of Mama Fu’s. “The Shaws have a proven track record opening restaurant concepts in areas where they know the consumer and know the demand. We’re happy to have them as a part of the Mama Fu’s family and look forward to continuing our growth with them.”
