NYPD Pizza, an authentic New York style pizzeria, headquartered in Orlando, Florida, has been listed in the December issue of Entrepreneur magazine as one of its top picks for breakout pizza franchises.

“It’s an honor to be recognized with industry elites,” says Paul Russo, owner and founder of NYPD Pizzeria. “There’s no question we have the absolute tastiest, freshest, and most authentic New York pizza in the nation. I’m very thrilled with this strong mention from Entrepreneur.”

NYPD Pizza was listed as a break out pizza chain in an article about the top 10 franchise trends of 2014, published in Entrepreneur's December 2013 issue. It’s the first time NYPD has been recognized in the list of the well-known business magazine. The honor comes on the heels of TripAdvisor’s ranking of NYPD Pizzeria as its number one best pizza restaurant in Orlando.

“Being ranked in Entrepreneur will definitely help us attract potential franchisees," Russo says. "It’s really an endorsement from the top business magazine in the world, saying we’re one of the top pizza investments going today.”

NYPD is the brainchild of native New Yorker, Paul Russo, who created the restaurant when he saw a need for authentic New York style pizza worldwide. The first NYPD Pizza location opened its doors in Orlando, Florida, in 1996 and quickly expanded to several stores throughout Florida. NYPD has won countless awards in the local media and was even rated by the prestigious Zagat magazine, as being the best pizza Orlando has to offer.

“People love our pizza because we’ve worked hard to make it deliciously authentic,” Russo says. “There’s a reason we've won over 30 ‘Best Pizza’ awards around the country—once people try our pizza, they’re hooked.”
