Smoothie King Franchises Inc. announced a franchise development incentive program giving new franchisees the opportunity to score big savings when they sign a multi-unit agreement to open three Smoothie King locations. As part of the so-called “3-Point Play” development deal, new franchisees will receive at least 40 percent off their franchise fees for each store.

New franchisees will pay an initial franchise fee of $15,000 for their first store and $5,000 for each of the additional two locations.

“It’s been an exciting year so far for Smoothie King with the announcement of the newly named Smoothie King Center and the unveiling of our new store design in South Florida. To celebrate, we want to offer franchisees an extremely attractive incentive to join the Smoothie King family,” says Smoothie King Global CEO Wan Kim. “As a leader in the smoothie category, Smoothie King is committed to driving aggressive growth through multi-unit development across the country. We are already on track to open 160 new franchised locations this year in cities such as Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Tallahassee, and Washington, D.C.”

Franchisee Clayton Koenig decided to capitalize on the growing smoothie industry after having spent six years with Smoothie King’s corporate office as an international operations consultant.

“This latest incentive represents Smoothie King’s aggressive growth strategy and dedication to ensuring its franchisees maximize their return on investment,” says Koenig, who opened his first two Smoothie King locations in 2013 in Mobile, Alabama, and D’Iberville, Mississippi, and will open the first of five locations in Tallahassee, Florida, as well as a store in Biloxi, Mississippi, this spring.

“The success of any franchisor is reliant upon having a strong network of franchisees and this approach resonates profoundly within the culture of our brand,” he says. “I owe my success to Smoothie King’s ongoing support and proven business model, which has ultimately allowed me to quickly grow my business.”
