The Krystal Company announced Friday the appointment of Kathy Pittman as vice president of information technology, responsible for the development and delivery of a broad range of IT initiatives in support of the chain’s 352 stores and over 8,000 employees throughout the Southeastern U.S.

 

Pittman most recently served as chief information officer for Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen (AFC Enterprises Inc.). She was responsible for Strategic IT to support and enhance business objectives and success, along with tactical execution to maintain current and highly available/reliable IT technology and services. Prior to AFC, Pittman served as the global IT director for Verint Systems where she developed a strategic plan and roadmap for architecture to support a rapidly changing business. She has also held leadership positions with Agilent Technologies and the Hewlett Packard Company.

Pittman joined The Krystal Company on February 3, 2014, reporting to Pendergast. She holds Bachelor of Science in Management and Masters of Science in Information Technology degrees from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California. She and her husband, Mike, live in Alpharetta, Georgia and are parents to a grown daughter.
