Panda Express introduced its new Orange Chicken with Bacon and Shiitake Kale Chicken Breast. The new entrées, which appeal to those seeking both indulgent and healthful choices, are available at Panda Express locations nationwide for a limited time.

“At Panda, guests really can have the best of both woks,” says Andy Kao, executive chef at Panda Express. “Whether it’s a light and savory entrée like our Shiitake Kale Chicken Breast, or a sweet and robust dish like Orange Chicken with Bacon, Panda offers menu choices that will fuel your body and feed your soul.”

For guests craving a healthier option, Panda’s new Shiitake Kale Chicken Breast is crafted with premium ingredients that include chicken breast, shiitake mushrooms, kale, and broccoli tossed in a sizzling wok and dressed with a savory house sauce. This dish has 170 calories, qualifying it to join Panda’s Wok Smart menu featuring items less than 250 calories. Panda’s introduction of Shiitake Kale Chicken Breast represents the first time a fast-casual Chinese restaurant is offering kale, the nutrient-rich super food, nationwide.

Also new to the Panda menu is Orange Chicken with Bacon, adding thick-cut applewood smoked bacon to Panda’s most popular entrée. This limited time option is a must-try for guests looking to experience a bold and distinctly American-Chinese flavor combination. Panda’s original Orange Chicken recipe remains on the menu.

“Providing not one, but two delicious new entrees is our way of demonstrating the variety of fresh, delicious menu choices available every day at Panda to satisfy everyone in the family,” Kao says.

With the release of its latest menu offerings, Panda Express also is launching a new brand campaign that celebrates the simple pleasures created by combining the great taste of Panda’s American-Chinese menu with the welcoming experience of dining at Panda. “Panda Anda You” will highlight the family-owned restaurant’s belief that happiness is created when good food “anda” good people come together.
