First Watch, a breakfast, brunch, and lunch concept, announced plans to expand its presence in Ohio with the opening of a new restaurant in Macedonia. First Watch has six additional Cleveland restaurants, including Westlake, Rocky River, Mayfield Heights, Fairlawn, University Heights, and Solon. The Macedonia restaurant will open in spring 2015.

“We are so excited to continue to be a part of such an up and coming foodie market like Cleveland,” says Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “We look forward to creating our fresh approach to breakfast, brunch, and lunch in Macedonia and sharing our Daytime Café philosophy by offering unique, tasty recipes.”

The Macedonia First Watch will be located in an end-cap space in the new the Macedonia Marketplace located on the Northeast corner of Route 82 and Route 8. The 3,500 square-foot restaurant will have an outdoor patio for dining and will employ about 25 people.

The new restaurant’s design will accentuate an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s approach to fresh food preparation. All menu items are prepared to order, and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.

First Watch starts each day by cutting fruit and vegetables making items like French toast, crepe batter, granola, and salsa from scratch; roasting vegetables in-house; and offering fresh-squeezed orange juice. First Watch also looks to locally source produce whenever possible. In addition to serving entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown coffee beans from mountains across the Americas.

First Watch features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads, and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet, and Fresh Fruit Crepes.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free WiFi access.
