To kick-start the season, Friendly’s Ice Cream announced the launch of new limited-time-only menu items.

New additions include: Summer Berry Salad, grilled chicken served on a bed of baby spinach, tossed with fresh summer berries, Friendly’s signature three-cheese blend, and toasted almonds, sided by Lite Raspberry Vinaigrette; Baja Burger, Friendly’s Big Beef Burger topped with melted pepper-jack cheese, ancho chipotle sauce, jalapeño peppers, and bacon, all served on a brioche roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayo and accompanied by French fries; Turkey Avocado Burger, a turkey burger topped with fresh avocado and served on a brioche roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, sided by French fries.

For guests seeking a summertime seafood experience, Friendly’s is now serving an interpretation of the famous New England Lobster Roll, which features a portion of lobster salad with lettuce piled on a grilled roll with fries and coleslaw (available at select locations) and Teriyaki Salmon, topped with fresh pineapple and mango salsa, served on a bed of rice pilaf and sided by freshly steamed broccoli. A new selection of flavored teas and lemonades, including Strawberry Lemonade, Mango Ice Tea, and Raspberry Ice Tea are a complement to any guest’s meal. 

Perfect for helping kids cool off is Friendly’s Sour Patch Splash beverage, boasting a mix of Sprite and watermelon-lime flavors served with Sour Patch Kids swimming on top. 

Throughout the summer, guests of Friendly’s will be able to create their own meal during lunch and dinner hours using a value-driven, tiered menu approach, which combines ten different entrées with a beverage of choice and a Happy Ending Sundae.  For $9.99, guests can select from the following: Friendly’s All American Dog, Friendly’s Chili Dog, All American Burger, and Tuna Salad SuperMelt sandwich; for $10.99, options include the Honey BBQ Chicken SuperMelt sandwich, Friendly’s new Turkey Avocado Burger, and Crispy Chicken Salad; and for $11.99, guests can enjoy a duo of limited time only selections, including Friendly’s Baja Burger and Summer Berry Salad, or New England Fish “n” Chips.

Ending the meal on a sweet note are a duo of new sundae options, including: Friendly’s Cracker Jack Sundae, Coffee Salted Caramel Crunch ice cream topped with caramel, Cracker Jack popcorn, whipped cream, and a cherry, served with a Cracker Jack surprise; and the Sour Patch Sundae, boasting any of Friendly’s hand-crafted ice cream flavors topped with sour syrup and Sour Patch Kids candies, all served in a sandcastle vessel that can be used as a beach toy.
