This September, California Tortilla will bring its Mexican fare to a new location, located in the Bradlee Shopping Center on King Street in Alexandria, Virginia.  This will be the 26th California Tortilla restaurant in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and the 42nd company-wide.

California Tortilla seemed like a perfect fit for the area, says owner Seth Pankaj. “The people who live in this community are really discerning about the food they eat—they’re looking for quality.” Pankaj is a veteran franchisee, and Bradlee will be his seventh California Tortilla location.

California Tortilla also offers a number of healthy dining options, a trend that is becoming increasingly popular. “We have lots of great menu options for customers looking to satisfy their burrito cravings and stay healthy—California Tortilla was even voted ‘Best Vegetarian’ by Washingtonian magazine,” Pankaj says. “Customers can customize their meal with any number of fresh ingredients and sauces, or choose from our Chef-Inspired Creations which feature menu items with more unexpected flavor combinations like my new favorite, Bangkok Shrimp tacos.”

That creativity extends to all aspects of the California Tortilla brand, like the legendary Wall of Flame, stocked with 75 types of hot sauces; the Taco Talk newsletter circulated once a month; and outside-the-box marketing and promotions that have earned them a loyal fan base that continues to grow.
