Lion’s Choice, the Saint Louis-based quick-service restaurant chain, has hired Joe Buttice as the company’s new director of marketing. Buttice joins Lion’s Choice from Anheuser-Busch, where he held a variety of positions since 1998. Buttice spent the past two years as brand manager for Bud Light Lime and Bud Light Lime-A-Rita.

In his new position with Lion’s Choice, Buttice will be responsible for all aspects of marketing including advertising, media, and promotions for the 23-unit restaurant chain.

“Retaining Joe Buttice as our director of marketing is a huge step for Lion’s Choice,” says Mark Disper, president and chief executive officer of Lion’s Choice. “Joe brings deep experience and a rare combination of brand marketing and analytical expertise, which we believe will help us grow the Lion’s Choice brand.”

While at Anheuser-Busch, Buttice was responsible for developing the creative strategy including TV, digital, print, outdoor, and experiential marketing for Bud Light Lime and the Bud Light Lime-A-Rita family. Prior to that, Buttice held several positons at Anheuser-Busch including brand analyst, manager of margin analysis, and executive assistant to the vice president of finance and planning.

Buttice holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Louis University and an M.B.A. from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in Saint Louis.
