Auntie Anne's Pretzels recently opened its first location at Universal Orlando Resort. The store at Universal CityWalk is the 13th store opened at a theme park destination since Auntie Anne’s first rolled into theme park locations in 2013.

“Universal Orlando Resort offers a fun, lively environment for children and adults alike. It only makes sense for Auntie Anne’s to bring the ageless appeal of freshly baked, hand-rolled pretzel products to Universal CityWalk. Families can enjoy simple and delicious treats on-the-go and not miss out on all the excitement the parks have to offer,” says Brian Boycan, vice president of nontraditional development. “We’re looking forward to working with Universal Orlando and expanding our presence in more theme parks and other non-traditional venues.”

Auntie Anne’s, which has opened more than 80 new nontraditional locations this year, can now be found in venues including entertainment centers, amusement parks, casinos, food trucks, stadiums, military bases, colleges and universities, large retailers, and transportation sites such as airports, train stations, and travel plazas. The iconic pretzel brand anticipates opening more than 50 additional non-traditional locations in 2015.

With Auntie Anne’s, there is no “one size fits all” store model. Instead, the company has the ability to tailor stores to better appeal to the venue and its traffic count. Auntie Anne’s typical store layouts include in-line stores, baking kiosks, and satellite retail units, and it offers flexible store design prototypes to accommodate the versatile requirements of today’s traditional and nontraditional venues.
