Villa Enterprises, multi-brand restaurant operator and franchisor celebrating 50 years in business, announced Villa Italian Kitchen is now open with two new locations at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA).  As part of ongoing efforts to provide world-class airport facilities to both passengers and airlines, LaGuardia Airport has added the new Villa restaurants, which are conveniently located at the West Food Court on the Upper Level and at the Central Food Court on the Lower Level, and both feature a variety of freshly made menu items daily.

“As a pizza operator for over 50 years, Villa is proud to watch our guests at LaGuardia airport enjoying our popular New York–style pizza and famous Stromboli,” says Adam Torine, executive vice president of development for Villa Enterprises. “A slice of pizza or a homemade Stromboli can make a long layover and time pass quickly when waiting for a flight.”

LGA is a major domestic airport located just minutes from Manhattan, the nation's financial center, and serves a metropolitan area of approximately 19 million people. LGA is undergoing an extensive capital redevelopment program in an effort to provide world-class airport facilities for passengers and airlines alike.

“Villa’s addition to our new food concessions is one of the delicious highlights of the re-development project,” says LaGuardia Airport general manager, Lysa Scully. “What’s better than New York style pizza when you land or before you takeoff from New York?”

Villa Italian Kitchen features Neapolitan and pan pizzas handmade with fresh dough, 100 percent whole milk mozzarella and homemade sauce. Villa’s handmade Stromboli is also a favorite, and Italian pastas and entrées make for a delicious lunch or dinner. Villa offers large to-go orders and catering, perfect for pizza lovers, the family, or events.

Starting with its first pizzeria in New York City 50 years ago, the company’s Villa Italian Kitchen flagship brand now has more than 270 locations worldwide. Over the past several years, Villa Enterprises has focused on multi-unit opportunities, expansion of management services, the creation of new restaurant concepts in response to market demand and international growth with a focus on the Middle East and Latin America. The company’s portfolio has grown to include more than 400 quick-serve restaurants in malls, airports, casinos and other high-traffic locations.

The company is successfully managing and outfitting entire food courts within malls, outlet centers, casinos, and airports throughout the U.S. including the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe, Arizona; and Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets in Virginia.

Villa was founded 50 years ago, and built its business on the strict loyalty to authentic old-world recipes that Michele Scotto brought with him from Naples, Italy in 1964. From the first pizzeria that opened in 1964 next to the Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway in New York to their new restaurants at LaGuardia airport, the commitment to quality food and genuine hospitality is still the hallmark of Villa.
