Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, will opens its 150th location on Tuesday, April 28 in Loveland, Colorado. Freddy Simon, the restaurant’s 90-year-old cofounder and namesake, will attend the restaurant opening. Simon will greet guests and sign autographs from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We opened the doors to our first area Freddy’s franchise in Longmont in December of 2010; it was the 45th Freddy’s restaurant to open,” says Mark Siffring, Freddy’s franchise owner and operator. “Since then, our group has opened three Freddy’s franchise units as we expanded to Loveland, Ft. Collins, and our most recent market just a couple of weeks ago in Timnath. The Freddy’s system has collectively added over one hundred restaurants in that same time. It has been phenomenal to have played a role in this rapid growth concept, and it is an incredible honor to open the 150th location.”

In 2014, Freddy’s made debuts in Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Minnesota. The restaurant has opened 15 franchise locations in 2015, with another 30 locations on track to open before the year’s end. Freddy’s has development agreements in place with its franchisees to build more than 600 additional units over the next decade. The development agreements will expand the restaurant's locations in markets it currently serves, as well as into several states and markets it does not yet serve. New states to garner the Freddy’s concept over the next couple of years include Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Ohio, and Tennessee.

“We are thrilled to share this milestone with Mark Siffring and his team, and we sincerely thank each and every one of our franchisees for helping to make the Freddy’s concept what it is today,” says Bill Simon, CEO of Freddy’s. “Our franchisees, suppliers, team members, and loyal guests all across the U.S. combine to form this monumental network of avid Freddy’s restaurant enthusiasts, and we couldn’t have asked for a more optimistically committed and unwavering support system.”
