The issue of childhood hunger is not disappearing and neither is Chronic Tacos’ support of the nonprofit organization No Kid Hungry. Starting this September, the SoCal fast-casual franchise—known for its fresh, made-to-order third-generation Mexican cuisine—kicks off its second year of partnering with No Kid Hungry to help raise awareness of the childhood hunger epidemic affecting one in every five children.

“Giving back to the community has always been a part of the company’s core values,” says Michael Mohammed, CEO of Chronic Tacos. “Every little bit raised helps put an end to childhood hunger in America. Our goal is to double last year’s donation by raising enough funds for 200,000 nutritious meals. We want customers to know that every time they step into a Chronic Tacos location and donate, they are making a big difference in the community.”

Throughout the month of September, Chronic Tacos customers nationwide who donate $1 or more will receive a complimentary order of Churros on their next visit. In addition, Chronic Tacos will donate 15 percent of its system-wide sales on September 24 to No Kid Hungry. Aiding Chronic Tacos in its mission to reach the $20,000 donation goal set for this year’s campaign will be several new locations, including Phoenix, Arizona, and San Luis Obispo and Valencia, California.
