The Southeast’s leading fresh, prepared meals retailer, Fitlife Foods, is expanding and opening new retail locations in South Florida.

Scheduled for a January 2016 opening, Fitlife Foods will open two locations in Broward County and bring their “daily allowance of awesomeness” to Market on University in Plantation and Union Planters Plaza in Ft. Lauderdale. Customers will enjoy 60-plus fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients, along with 39 original sauces and 13 different spice blends that help people save time and gain energy for their performance-based lifestyle.

As a graduate of the University of Miami, David Osterweil, founder and chief executive officer of Fitlife Foods, is familiar with the high-energy and diverse lifestyle of South Floridians, and wants to bring the benefits and convenience of Fitlife Foods to the area.

“South Florida has a dynamic population with people who are incredibly time-starved, fitness-minded, and value craveable flavors,” Osterweil says. “This is a perfect next market for us and this growing brand. From having lived in South Florida and being a fourth generation Floridian, I am passionate about helping this community find its daily Fitlife potential from eating the best chef-made, fresh-prepared meals.”

There are currently seven Fitlife Foods locations throughout the Tampa Bay region, as well as six kiosk spots in various locations, including: the Tampa Bay Ray’s, St. Anthony’s Hospital, Nutrition S’Mart, and Florida Hospital Health & Wellness Center.

Osterweil will lead the expansion into the South Florida market, and the first two locations are expected to be open in January. Several more Fitlife locations are slated to open in South Florida over the next three years.
