The Chickery, open since 2013 at 130 Spadina Avenue, and since the end of 2015 at a new location in Mt. Sinai Hospital’s Food Hall, has signed another lease at 655 Elm Street (at Bay Street) for a third Toronto location scheduled to open in spring.

“We are very excited to be the first franchisees of The Chickery in Toronto. We are proud to work with renowned Chef David Adjey whose focus is authentic quality chicken and gracious hospitality,” says multiunit franchisees Bharti Kapoor and Rishi Kapur.

The Chickery has partnered with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of restaurant brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill, to launch their expansion efforts.

David Adjey, whose headshot adorns the “Coming Soon” window signs at the new Elm Street location, is a native Canadian but has worked in both California and New York throughout his career. He says of opening up a third Toronto location, “The timing and location were right for our franchise partners to continue The Chickery’s Toronto expansion.”
