Charlie Graingers World Famous Hot Dogs, based out of Wilmington, North Carolina, has begun its expansion throughout the Southeast, signing franchise agreements for new restaurants in North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi. During the first 10 months of franchising, Charlie Graingers has secured commitments for 126 new locations, with plans to open 40 locations in 2016.
When Louis North purchased the site of The Original Peacock Alley restaurant in 2012, it was his goal to restore the location to its former glory while remaining true to its hometown roots. He built the new restaurant with heritage in mind, fine food served with a smile in a 'classic Americana' atmosphere. North revived the hot dog tradition but added his own staples to the menu introducing his famous beef brisket, pork barbecue, and chicken salad, which accompany the homemade soups and sides. As Charlie Graingers expands we can now bring the value of the classic Southern Restaurant to the rest of the country.
North created a restaurant where, at any given lunch hour, the mayor can be found sitting next to an auto mechanic enjoying a quick bite or families can come to make lasting memories, and paired this atmosphere with delicious and traditional food the community has come to love. Present-day Charlie Graingers is a tried-and-true family business in every way, even down to the business model that allows franchisees the ability to maintain a 9-to-5 workday.

Charlie Graingers plans to continue their expansion in the Southeast through 2016 and begin to grow into the neighboring states in 2016 and 2017. They continue to actively recruit area representatives, multiunit operators, and individual store owners alike.
