Cincinnati-based restaurant Tom+Chee announced that BFB Restaurant Group, area franchisee for Tom & Chee, signed a lease in Strongsville, Ohio, for the opening of its first Greater Cleveland location.

Specializing in tomato soup and grilled cheese, Tom+Chee is known for its fresh ingredients and quirky takes on comfort food classics. From the vegetarian

Hippy+Chee to the offbeat (signature) Grilled Cheese Donut, Tom+Chee offers 20-plus grilled cheese sandwiches plus fresh salads, three versions of tomato soup, and an endless array of specials. The entire menu is made fresh, with no fryers, freezers or microwaves, and offers a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

“We are ecstatic to have the opportunity to introduce Tom+Chee to Northeast Ohio beginning with the new Westwood Commons project in the Strongsville community,” says local franchisees Brad Bucci and Jerry Franklin. “This menu is outstanding, full of fresh ingredients and options for everyone including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free items. We are passionate about fresh, flavorful, and fun food at an affordable price and can’t wait to serve up some ooey-gooey perfection.”

Originally started as a food tent in Cincinnati, Tom+Chee has enjoyed explosive growth since the founders pitched their business on ABC’s “Shark Tank” in May 2013. The Tom+Chee franchise is rapidly growing and currently has 170 stores under contract in 20 states, including Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, Colorado, and Georgia.
