Health-minded, chef-inspired restaurant concept, fresh&co, is proud to announce it has provided a matching grant of $10,000 to its original contribution of $10,000 in support of the Food and Finance High School’s collegiate scholarship program in New York City.

The one-year commitment, which runs through 2016, will now include a total financial contribution from fresh&co of $50,000 with $20,000 fulfilled by the matching grant, dedicated to a collegiate scholarship, awarded in the name of the Tenedios family—founders and owners of fresh&co. The donation will not only benefit the school itself, but also its student body.

The additional $10,000 donation comes just in time for the Food and Finance High School’s Small Plates Big Hearts Benefit that will be held on Monday, March 7 at ESPACE in Manhattan. The Dine-Around Gala will be hosted by Emmy award winner Carla Hall, along with 25 of Manhattan’s greatest chefs to celebrate New York’s future chefs of tomorrow. The event benefits the school’s scholarships, enrichment programs, and the internship program, which allows students to have a critical opportunity to experience real world exposure in the hospitality industry. Along with the contribution to benefit the school, fresh&co is hoping to raise an additional $20,000 in matching funds during the benefit in support of New York’s future culinary leaders. The event will host a VIP hour that will begin at 6 p.m. and will serve hor d'oeuvres prepared by the students of the Food and Finance High School.  Doors will open to general admission guests at 7 p.m. with a silent and live auction to follow.
