On Monday, March 7, founder Michelle Gauthier opened a second outpost of her popular fast-casual healthy eatery, Mulberry & Vine, in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan at 55 West 27th Street, between Broadway and 6th Avenue. Like its sister location in TriBeCa, Mulberry & Vine offers high quality, organic, and locally sourced food for both lunch and dinner.

With an emphasis on clean eating, Mulberry & Vine makes nutritious food delectable by utilizing herbs and spices to ramp up flavor. The globally inspired menu, led by culinary team Justin Schwartz and Brendan Neville, features seasonal fare that is both health-conscious and delicious. In addition to rotating specials, mainstays include veggie-centric options like Charred Avocado with pumpkin seed yogurt purée; Red Lentil and Kale Dal with carrots, ginger, and madras curry; and Chipotle Black-eye Pea Stew with Swiss chard, mushrooms, cumin, and smoked paprika. For proteins, options include Mediterranean Braised Chicken with capers and lemon; Asian Wagyu Beef with collard greens, carrots, ginger, tamari, and sesame oil; and Turkey Chili with navy beans and tomatoes. Served café-style, diners may choose three vegetable-based dishes for $10, or opt for a mix of two vegetables and one protein for $11.75.

The centerpiece of Mulberry & Vine’s unique beverage program is DRINK MORE WATER, which consists of house-made super-infused waters, including flavor combinations like lemon, charcoal, andcayenne; beet, aloe vera, and ginger; and cucumber, cilantro, and lemon. The addition of Himalayan pink salt in each bottle helps maintain fluids and replenish electrolytes in the body. Flavored iced teas and lemonades are also available.

Inspired by Mulberry & Vine’s fresh and simple approach, Caroline Grant and Dolores Suarez of New York City–based Dekar Design created a fun and youthful energy throughout the 2,000-square-foot space. The chic 40-seat restaurant features whitewashed brick archways—preserved from the original build—that play up the room’s natural and feminine elements. Concrete floors embedded with gold-painted cracks, whitewashed wooden tabletops, and antique mercury-mirrored tiles add a hip and industrial aesthetic. Blue splatter-paint wallpaper and hand-painted fabric chair backs add pops of color, which are contrasted by white subway tiles with Mexican detailing that run along the exposed kitchen walls.

To celebrate the opening, Mulberry & Vine will be offering guests any “pick 3” combination for $5. Offer is available Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17th, in-store at the NoMad location only.
