With a fresh focus on growth, Crimson Coward Nashville Hot Chicken has assembled an ace advisory board to support their cross-country brand development. A group of experts spanning the food, beverage and entertainment industries will advise the chain’s internal members on opportunities for the brand.
David Liseno, Keith Miller, Jeff Moody and George Patterson provide expertise from diverse but related directions:
- Liseno is a dynamic and multifaceted executive with broad experience in supply chain logistics, customer experience and strategic development; he owns and operates other franchise brands and property investments as well.
- Miller is also a franchise owner of another brand; he has led various franchisee associations and advocated for franchisees for more than 30 years.
- Moody has been an executive at the C-suite level for brands such as Subway and Rita’s Ice; he will lend marketing, operational and strategic planning expertise to Crimson Coward.
- Patterson has more than 40 years’ experience in the restaurant and entertainment industries and has held senior-level positions with AMC Entertainment, Wendy’s International and KFC. He’s also cofounded Cool Mountain Creamery. Patterson’s expertise is in operations, franchising and concept development.
“We are honored to have access to the wisdom and expertise this group will lend to Crimson Coward,” says Ali Hijazi, Crimson Coward founder and CEO. “The advisory board will provide valuable industry experience, strategic direction, networking, oversight of risk management, brand development, and attention to ethical and social responsibilities.”
John Filipiak, spokesperson and area representative partner for franchise expansion, adds: “Crimson Coward is committed to our franchisees’ success by managing costs, maximizing profitability and ensuring efficient operations, while helping them further community engagement and provide guests with an exceptional dining experience. We believe this board will help us meet all of these goals.”
Crimson Coward was established in 2019 in Downey, Calif. After expanding to a second location in 2022, the brand has grown with franchisees to ten locations in California, Texas, Michigan and Virginia. More stores will open in Virginia, Maryland and Washington State this year, with opportunities in additional states on the horizon.
The enticing menu at Crimson Coward is competitive in the hot chicken landscape with fresh, never frozen, hand-marinated chicken served in a variety of spice levels. Daily made sides are also prominent features at the chicken joints, with popular items such as homemade macaroni and cheese, slaw, fried pickles and the Crimson Onion. Each location prioritizes the customer experience with an open kitchen concept and the “Lucky 7” counter-height seats where guests can get a firsthand look at their made-to-order fare while being deliciously rewarded with free samples.
