“Working together, our marketing and R&D teams identified, concept-tested, and market-tested soup flavors that would resonate with our guests. A key group of Farmer Boys customers were presented with various soup concepts through online concept testing, followed by in-market testing. The result, overwhelmingly, was a Mexican-inspired soup—Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup—featuring white-meat chicken, tomatoes, and green peppers in a rich, cheesy, and flavorful base.

“The Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup is chock-full of white meat chicken, cream, diced tomatoes, green peppers, five creamy-smooth varieties of cheese—featuring traditional American, cheddar, and Monterey Jack, and authentic Mexican cheeses queso blanco and asadero—and seasoned with chili powder and jalapeño. All these flavors simmer and meld together, creating zesty, creamy, and cheesy goodness in a bowl. We hand-finish our Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Soup by topping it with house-made tortilla strips as a crunchy garnish.
