The Monopoly Game at McDonald’s is back in nearly 14,000 U.S. restaurants, bringing the thrill of the game to customers with one in four odds to win great food and prizes every day. New this year, customers can find Monopoly Game Pieces on their favorite classic menu items, including the Big Mac, French Fries, Filet-O-Fish, McNuggets, McGriddles, Hash Browns, McCafé beverages, and fountain drinks. Playing the in-store game could result in great prizes, including McDonald’s food, a Beaches vacation, a $5,000 Walmart shopping spree, a 2011 Ford Shelby GT500, or $1 million. Customers also have a second chance to win online.
“We love to hear from our Monopoly fans and customers,” says Douglas Freeland, director of marketing for McDonald’s USA. “They asked for game pieces on their favorite menu items, and that’s what they’re getting. And with more than $200 million in cash and prizes, and the best odds ever, there’s even more reason to play Monopoly at McDonald’s this year.”
The 2010 Monopoly Game is available at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. starting October 5 through November 1, or while supplies last. In-restaurant, customers will get a chance to win $1 million, additional $50–$50,000 cash prizes, McDonald’s food, and other rewards from this year’s promotional prize partners, including Walmart, Beaches Resorts, EA SPORTS, SpaWish, RedBox, and Snapfish.
Players can take their game “on the go” by entering game codes via a text-enabled mobile phone to “96363,” but must go online to complete the registration. The Monopoly Game at McDonald’s is open to residents of the U.S., Canada, Guam, and Saipan. The Online Game is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.
