QSR magazine is currently accepting applications for the 2007 Best Brands for Minority and Female Operators Award. The recently created award will recognize the efforts made by quick service restaurants to improve opportunities and industry relations for minority and women operators.

Submissions are open to any franchise company in the quick-service industry (traditional fast food, fast-casual, coffee, snacks, convenience stores, concession, and related segments) with five or more U.S.-based. All applicants will be evaluated on quantitative and qualitative factors including the successful implementation of programs and initiatives focused on the recruitment and retention of minority and female operators. Highlighted programs must have been in place for a minimum of six months prior to submission.

Application deadline for this award is January 31, 2007 by 5 p.m. EST.
