Just in time for the holiday season, McDonald's restaurants across Southern California are granting the wishes of famously dedicated and vocal McRib fans by bringing back the beloved sandwich on November 21. After a two-year absence and tireless campaigning from impassioned supporters, the McRib, along with frequent collaborator Dr. Pepper, will hit the road for the highly anticipated Pork & Pepper Comeback Tour, visiting Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties.

"Southern California McRib fans are among the most passionate, dedicated and creative in the world," says Paul Tulaphorn, McDonald's franchisee and association president of the local McDonald's owner operators group. "We're excited to reward their loyalty and join them to celebrate the return of an icon."

The McRib is back at participating McDonald's restaurants for a limited time. The McRib features seasoned pork, McDonald's signature McRib sauce—a sweet, smoky, tangy, western barbeque style sauce—dill pickles and mild, fresh slivered onions served on a bun.

There are a number of new ways for McRib fans to enjoy the return of their favorite season. The official McRib Finder iMessage app for iOS 10 is available to help customers quickly locate and enjoy this celebrated sandwich.

The Pork & Pepper Comeback Tour will offer fans an opportunity to engage online and offline through a multi-platform campaign across TV, radio, digital, social, mobile, and PR.
