American Roadside Burgers is now open in Columbia, South Carolina.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, American Roadside plans two South Carolina locations in 2013. The company has one location in Smithtown, New York, and two in Charlotte, with Greenville, South Carolina opening later this year. “We have been eyeing the Southeast for development and expansion,” says Rich LaVecchia, CEO of American Roadside Burgers Inc. “Columbia is a great fit for our concept and we are very happy with the response we have received thus far.”

American Roadside features menu items like Sterling Silver Premium beef burgers, chicken, salads, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes, along with a wine and beer list. The locations are family friendly and offer a “flex casual” concept. “Flex casual means that we offer quick and convenient ordering at the counter and then our staff will bring your food directly to your table,” says director of operations of American Roadside Burgers Inc. and Columbia native Joe Numberger. “Plus, we offer full service at our bar. We want our guests to have a warm and comfortable dining experience.”

Columbia’s American Roadside opened in the new Cross Hill development, anchored by Whole Foods Market. “When our real estate team brought us the Cross Hill idea, we knew we had to be a part of it. It’s in a great part of Columbia and is close to many residences and our soldiers and their families at Fort Jackson,” continues LaVecchia. “The American spirit is alive and well in Columbia and American Roadside is glad to be here.”

American Roadside’s Columbia, South Carolina location opened for business on Saturday, January 12, 2013.
