For Angry Chickz, the Southern California-born Nashville hot chicken brand, just had one of the hottest winters of all time. With record-setting numbers, widespread media coverage on National Hot Chicken Day, new tech partnerships to improve the company’s operations and a great experience at MUFC, it was a first quarter for the ages.

Not only did Angry Chickz have its most successful month ever in March, the brand enjoyed the most successful quarter since its founding in 2018. This success is also evident in the company’s continued expansion, which was capped by the April 5th record-setting opening of Angry Chickz’ 25th location in Vacaville, Calif.

Also in Q1, the country celebrated National Hot Chicken Day on March 30 – and Angry Chickz led the way with a systemwide $3 Chicken Sliders offer. This tribute to golden, crispy, spicy goodness enjoyed significant media coverage, highlighted by an interview on ABC 10 San Diego with Operations Director Will Lopez – as well as Uncover LA, Mouth by Southwest, LA Weekly and the San Diego Union Tribune.

To ensure the brand continues its positive momentum, Angry Chickz signed partnerships with a wide variety of data and technology partners, including:

• Placer.ai – a location analytics company that studies visit trends, trade areas and demographics

• Toast – an American cloud-based restaurant management software and point-of-sale company

• Restaurant365 – cloud-based software that provides a unique, all-in-one accounting, store operations and workforce solution

• Tattle – analyzes performance and instantly responds to online reviews

• Ceridian (Dayforce) – a provider of human resources software and services

• Suntek – provides information technology services

• Olo – develops digital ordering and delivery programs

To stay on top of industry trends and technology, representatives from Angry Chickz attended  the Multi-Unit Franchising Conference (MUFC) – an annual event for multi-unit and multi-brand franchisees looking to build their businesses to achieve their growth goals. Attendees at the conference find an unmatched learning experience, extraordinary access to experts and superior expansion solutions through workshops and networking opportunities.

“Hot chicken is the hottest category in the restaurant industry – and Angry Chickz is at the leading edge of the movement,” says David Mkhitaryan, CEO and founder. “By giving our rapidly growing legion of fans what they crave – our signature spicy chicken tenders – we’re experiencing a level of success like never before, and we’re just scratching the surface!”
