Arby’s, the largest drive-thru sandwich chain in the U.S., has opened its first restaurant in Guadalajara, Mexico, featuring an exclusive menu of high-quality, slow-cooked and freshly sliced meats.

After more than a year of menu development and research, Arby’s is unveiling 10 new “stacks” as part of its exclusive-to-Mexico menu. Alongside classic menu staples, such as the Beef ‘N Cheddar and Jamocha Shake, the line-up includes a selection of stacks with items like pulled pork, pork belly and avocados.

“Arby’s entry into Mexico is an exciting moment in the brand’s international growth as we bring our meat-focused menu to new guests around the world,” says Paul Brown, CEO of Inspire Brands. “Bolstered by Mexico’s shared passion for high-quality meats, the Arby’s team looks forward to working alongside strong franchisees like KSG to open several hundred new restaurants across the country.”

Each stack is specially designed to bring out the harmony of flavors of Arby’s meats, freshly sliced and served warm with melted cheeses, lettuce, tomato, sauces and other toppings on toasted buns. Guests can enjoy their choice of pork belly, pulled pork, roast beef, smoked beef, turkey and crispy chicken, as well as signature sides like Curly Fries, Onion Rings and Cheese Sticks.

Unlike most other Arby’s locations worldwide, the Guadalajara restaurant will also serve ice-cold Modelo Especial and Modelo Negra on draft.

“We wanted to make sure when opening this restaurant and adapting for Mexican tastes, we didn’t lose what makes Arby’s such a unique and beloved brand in the U.S.,” said Ricardo Aldrete, CEO of Gruncorp, which is Arby’s franchisee in Jalisco and Queretaro. “We spent more than a year refining and testing to create the unique menu you see today and believe we have created a dining experience you can’t get anywhere else in the world.”

The first Arby’s in Mexico is located inside La Gran Plaza Fashion Mall, with dine-in and takeaway available

Mexico is the seventh country outside the United States where Arby’s currently operates. The new restaurant joins more than 100 international Arby’s locations located across Canada, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Japan, and South Korea.
