The Arby’s Brand is entering 2014 strong, posting annual same-store sales figures that outperformed the quick-serve industry in 2013.
For calendar year 2013, Arby’s System SSS increased 2.8 percent versus +0.2 percent for the quick-serve industry overall (according to data from the NPD Group), representing 2.6 percentage points of outperformance. During the fourth quarter of 2013, Arby’s achieved its 13th consecutive quarter of same store sales growth.
“We attribute these positive results to our continued efforts to revitalize the Arby’s brand and to the dedication of our restaurant teams and franchise organizations,” says Paul Brown, CEO of Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. “We intend to build upon this momentum going forward in 2014 as we focus on launching more innovative and delicious products, revamping our advertising, remodeling our restaurants, and, most importantly, continuing to serve, refresh, and delight our guests every day.”
As the Brand prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, recent sales figures showcase that the Arby’s Brand is thriving within the quick service restaurant space and is well-positioned for continued growth.
