Atomic Wings, the New York-based emerging chicken wing concept with 16 locations that serves all-natural, hormone-free wings alongside 14 proprietary flavors, is expanding in Indiana with its first location in the state in Greenfield at 1665 N State Street Greenfield, IN 46140 in Spring 2024.

The area developer behind the signing is seasoned restaurateur Mike Harmon, an established franchisee in the state of Indiana who owns six Firehouse Subs units and has decided to expand his portfolio with Atomic Wings. Harmon has signed to bring up to ten Atomic Wings locations to the state.

The Greenfield location is projected to open in Spring of 2024 and will be the largest in the system at 1,890 square feet. It will also showcase Atomic Wings’ updated design, featuring a completely fresh look. The updated design, which was created in partnership with an industry-leading firm, includes a dedicated station for pickup orders in response to the increased demand for third-party delivery services, as well as a new logo, lighting and seating.

“I’m very excited to be branching out with a superior wing brand like Atomic Wings, and introducing my home state to the brand I fell in love with,” says Harmon. “Our agreement has a minimum of ten units, but I think we can add up to 20.”

Although he researched many franchise opportunities, Harmon said he was drawn to the Atomic Wings concept for several reasons, with the main one being the vision of CEO Zak Omar.

“Mike is unique in our network,” says Omar. “He’s a very experienced operator who already owns six Firehouse Subs in Indiana, knows how to market his locations and has top locations in the network. His experience lends itself well to introducing Indiana to Atomic Wings, and I am confident that in the years to come, we’ll see Atomic Wings growing throughout the state in a significant way.”

As 2023 wraps up, the brand is on the brink of a significant milestone – over 100 units signed. With 16 units currently operational and another 10 under construction that are set to open this

year, Atomic Wings is making its mark in the QSR industry. The brand has announced its expansion into several states, including Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Arkansas, Virginia, North Carolina, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Iowa and Tennessee, with flagship locations in each state to spur growth.

Omar says he is thrilled to continue the rapid expansion of Atomic Wings. “We pride ourselves on getting everything right with our wings, from the nitty-gritty details in our ingredients to the overall big picture of our customer-service process,” he said. “While this a big milestone for the brand, we know expansion shouldn’t mean that we forfeit our customer value, and our franchisees are all committed to that vision. We are excited to work with Harmon further to bring that authentic Buffalo wing taste to the people of Greenfield and across the country.”
