Auntie Anne’s recently awarded $25,000 in post-secondary education scholarships to five exceptional individuals.

Auntie Anne’s Scholarship Awards Program, currently in its sixth year, is open to franchise and corporate employees, as well as their immediate family members. The scholarships are awarded to individuals based on outstanding work ethic and educational accomplishments.

The recipients of Auntie Anne’s 2011 scholarships, each receiving $5,000 are: Gwendolyn Bois, Auburn, Massachusetts, crewmember at the Auburn Mall Auntie Anne’s; Jasmine Causey, Charlotte, North Carolina, manager at the Northlake Mall Auntie Annie’s; Betiana Darin, Gaithersburg, Maryland, whose father is a manager at four Auntie Anne’s locations in Maryland; Marian Piansay, Daly City, California, shift manager at the Serramonte Shopping Center Auntie Anne’s; and Samantha Smith, Elida, Ohio, shift manager at the Lima Mall Auntie Anne’s.

Auntie Anne’s Scholarship Awards Program provides five post-secondary educational scholarships, one for each of the company’s five geographic regions. The scholarship program originates from Auntie Anne’s belief in the power and value of investing in its employees. Applicants must have completed the first semester of their senior year in high school or obtained their GED equivalency and must have gained acceptance or be currently enrolled in an accredited secondary educational facility.
