A&W Restaurants Inc. is introducing two new Peanut Butter treats featuring Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The new Peanut Butter Shake is made with Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce while the Peanut Butter Polar Swirl features Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce and chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
“Given the popularity of peanut butter and Reese’s iconic brand recognition, we thought these new treats would be a great way to celebrate the summer,” says Sarah Blasi, vice president of Marketing, A&W Restaurants. “We are addicted to these new products and know our fans will be as well. The new Peanut Butter Shake is sure to help our guests beat the heat while our new Polar Swirl delivers twice the Reese’s peanut butter punch. If you love the taste of Reese’s you will love these new sweet treats.”
The new Peanut Butter Shake and Peanut Butter Polar Swirl will be available in all A&W locations and is the first time A&W has partnered with the Reese’s brand for a new product launch.
The use of Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups also speaks to the love consumers have for peanut butter. According to the National Peanut Board, peanut butter is consumed in 94 percent of households in the U.S., and consumers eat enough of it each year to make 10 billion peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
