Everybody loves an all-American Root Beer Float on a hot summer day, and A&W Restaurants nationwide are making the treats even tastier by giving them away on National Root Beer Float Day, Monday, August 6. During the celebration, A&W’s restaurants nationwide will raise money for Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

From 2-8 p.m., participating locations will serve free, small Root Beer Floats, no purchase necessary. Guests will be encouraged to make a donation to DAV. There are more than 630 A&W Restaurants in the U.S. This is A&W’s sixth annual National Root Beer Float Day celebration and the second year it has partnered with DAV. A&W and DAV hope to raise $150,000 for the organization, which serves more than one million veterans annually. Donations also can be made online at www.rootbeerfloatday.com.
