Bagels & Co. is expanding, opening its first location in a Florida college town when the doors open in January 2025 in Stadium Centre at 799 W. Gaines St. in Tallahassee, adjacent to the Florida State University campus.
The 2,200-square-foot neighborhood café will seat approximately 15 guests inside and approximately 15 outdoors. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and later on game days), Bagels & Co. bakes more than a dozen varieties of Brooklyn-style bagels including French toast, cheddar habanero, everything, blueberry, asiago, cinnamon raison and whole wheat, plus egg everything, which is rare in Florida.
The quick-serve, family-friendly bagel shop showcases a large variety of eclectic cream cheese flavors such as maple bacon, birthday cake, black truffle, cookie monster, honey nut, sriracha scallion and vegan tofu.Special limited-edition seasonal breakfast sandwiches, bagels and cream cheeses tailored to the Florida State Seminoles will be added throughout the year.

This marks the second Bagels & Co. location to open in a college town. There is one at Temple University in Philadelphia, and plans are to open at Penn State University, University of Florida and Nova Southeastern University in Spring 2025. Two Bagels & Co. locations have opened in South Florida, one in Fort Lauderdale and one in Wilton Manors. Since making their Florida debut in Fall 2023, Bagels & Co. quickly made a name for itself in the area’s competitive bagel market. They were a finalist for Sun Sentinel’s Best Bagels award and nominated for four OUTSFL’s Your Choice Awards—best restaurant in Wilton Manors, best new restaurant, best breakfast and best coffee shop.
Bagels & Co. brews coffee made using Costa Rican beans roasted in New York, tea and other coffee-based beverages. The affordable menu also offers high quality made-to-order sandwiches, including their famous Breakfast Sammy as well as grab and go items, Gluten-free options, parfaits and pastries. Bagels & Co. plans to continue expanding throughout Florida and Pennsylvania before they enter new states.
