Barry Bagels, a bagel and sandwich shop with five locations in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, announced it will expand to the Columbus, Ohio region. Founded in 1972 by Barry Greenblatt and now operated by him and his son Mark, Barry Bagels has been a landmark restaurant in the Toledo area since opening, serving bagels, soups, sandwiches, and desserts.
FS Bagels LLC will be a Columbus, Ohio–area multiunit franchisee of Barry Bagels. The first Barry Bagels restaurant owned by FS Bagels LLC is scheduled to open by the end of 2014 in the Northwest region of Columbus. This will be the first of five Barry Bagels locations that will be owned and operated by FS Bagels LLC in the area.
Barry Bagels plans to expand in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois in the next 12 to 24 months.
