Bruegger’s is celebrating fall with combinations for breakfast and lunch.

For a limited time only, the 295-unit bakery café operator will offer a new value option for breakfast – Bruegger’s popular Egg and Cheese Bagel Sandwich, available with bacon, ham, or sausage along with a 16 oz. glass of fresh, not from concentrate, orange juice for just $4.99.

Guests may also choose to order the sandwich with egg whites for a more health-conscious option.

The new combination is designed to meet the needs of Americans who are increasingly busy, and more likely to grab breakfast on the go. Technomic reported in June that one in 10 breakfast meals are now eaten or taken out from a restaurant, for a total of 12 billion morning meals, according to The NPD Group.

“Our guests are looking for high quality, made to order breakfast choices that are healthy and affordable,” says Jim Greco, CEO of Bruegger’s. “We think our new breakfast combination meal is the perfect solution.”

Specialty coffee also ranks high among menu options ordered by guests, and Bruegger’s is offering special fall flavors to capture that business. The chain will bring back its popular Pumpkin Spice Coffee by Green Mountain Coffee®and pair it with a delicious Apple Bagel, made with apple bits, rolled oats and a touch of cinnamon in its fall “Baker’s Choice” selection.

Bruegger’s Chef Philip Smith says Bruegger’s low fat plain cream cheese works best for this pairing, but those looking to spice it up can add Bruegger’s pumpkin cream cheese.

Bruegger’s also plans to feature new combinations on its lunch menu starting September 22.
