Muginoho International Inc., the parent company and franchisor of Beard Papa’s Sweets Café, is proud to announce a Master Franchise Agreement for a minimum of 10 cafés throughout Italy. The first location will be based in Milan, a city recognized as a world fashion and design capital, with a major global influence in art and culture.

The expansion to Italy is a Master Franchise Agreement between Muginoho International Inc. and Kamata Inc. of Fukuoka, Japan, and Milan, Italy. Kamata, Inc. is a fashion apparel importer and specialty desserts retailer with a focus on bridging the cultures of Japan and Italy.

“We are very excited about our new partnership in Italy. Kamata has a solid history in Italy and a strong commitment to quality and customer service, two hallmarks of our brand,” says Craig Takiguchi, president and CEO of Muginoho International, Inc. “Italy is a natural first step into the important European markets for Beard Papa’s, particularly for its rich heritage of fine desserts and a reputation as a launching pad for many established retail food brands. Cream puffs, it seems, is a universal language we all share and enjoy!”

Muginoho International is the global franchising division for Muginoho Ltd., based in Osaka, Japan. Beard Papa’s is franchised in over 17 different countries and regions worldwide and is one of several quick-service and casual dining businesses that are franchised and licensed through the company. Most recently, Beard Papa’s announced new developments in the U.S., Russia, Canada, and throughout Central America.
