Maines was honored with Subway restaurants and the Independent Purchasing Cooperative’s (IPC) Rookie of the Year Award for its first year of foodservice distribution to approximately 267 Subway restaurants located in the central New York state area. Maines began a foodservice distribution partnership with Subway restaurants a little over a year ago.
“Maines demonstrated exceptional commitment and leadership to a smooth transition of the business to their company,” says IPC director of distribution and logistics, George Gertenbach.
“They stepped in and quickly established themselves as a quality company providing high levels of service,” says Bob Baker, IPC national distribution manager.
“We are honored and thrilled to be named Subway’s Rookie of the Year,” says Pat Lappin, Maines’ corporate park division president. “We enjoy delivering fresh product to Subway restaurants, and the recognition means we’re achieving our customer service goals and objectives.”
“Maines earned Subway business with our 90-year history and reputation for delivering on our commitments,” says Maines president and CEO Chris Mellon. “Our operational excellence through innovation and execution results in exceptional on-time delivery performance, outstanding product fill-rates, and superior customer service. We look forward to partnering with Subway restaurants and earning their recognition for many years to come.”
