The International Franchise Association—the world's oldest and largest organization representing franchising globally—announced its keynote speaker today for #IFA2017. New York Times best-selling author of “The 4-Hour Workweek” and noted entrepreneur, Tim Ferriss, will address 4,000-plus franchise professionals in Las Vegas on Jan. 30, 2017. The IFA’s 57th Annual Convention will take place January 29 to February 1 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and will have an emphasis on providing education to drive performance, growth and sustainability of franchise brands.
His success with “The 4-Hour Workweek” led Ferriss to write two more books in the series, “The 4-Hour Body” followed by “The 4-Hour Chef.” Ferriss’ newest book, “Tools of Titans: The Tactics, Routines and Habits of Billionaires, Icons and World-Class Performers,” will be released December 6. Additionally, Ferriss has been listed as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Business People,” Forbes’ “Names You Need to Know,” and was the seventh “most powerful” personality on Newsweek’s Digital 100 Power Index for 2012.

His podcast, “The Tim Ferris Show,” was named the 2015 Podcast of the Year by Product Hunt and has exceeded 100 million downloads. In addition, his blog has ranked #1 on the Top 150 Management and Leadership Blogs list and his Twitter account was selected by Mashable as on the “5 Must-Follow Twitter Accounts for Entrepreneurs,” a list that includes Richard Branson and Mark Cuban. Ferriss’ blog is one of Inc. Magazine’s “19 Blogs You Should Bookmark Right Now“, and it has been ranked #1 on the Top 150 Management and Leadership Blogs list, based on Google PageRank, Alexa traffic ranking, Bing results, Technorati authority, Feedburner subscribers, and PostRank. #IFA2017 will feature more than 50 educational sessions, as well as 300 supplier partners in a cutting-edge Exhibit Hall, offering the latest tools and resources needed to develop a thriving franchise business. Additionally, attendees can expect to find numerous networking opportunities, including “The Buzz” and “The Bash.” The Buzz is held on Sunday, January 29, 6:30 to 8 p.m. and kicks off the Convention with food, drinks and live music. It follows the New Member & First-Time Attendee Reception at 5:30 p.m. The Bash is on Tuesday, January 31, 8 to 10:30 p.m. and is another opportunity to network with peers and colleagues at Mandalay Bay’s nightclub, LIGHT.
